Introduction

 S5n5859

"Onsen" is the Japanese word for hot spring or hot spring bath. There are thousands of onsen in Japan. Going to onsen or onsen ryokan (an accommodation facility with onsen spa) is a popular pastime in Japan for couples, friends and families. Using onsen regularly also can improve your skin, health and levitate body aches and pains.

Take a moment to imagine yourself relaxing in the natural hot spring, surrounded by nature, it is the true way to experience Japan.

In Japan, it is believed that the more natural the hot spring is, the higher the quality it has, since any treatment could alter the constituents of the hot spring water and thus may affect the healing power or the cleanliness of the water. We are proud to say that we are the only ryokan in the area that offer 100% natural, constantly running hot spring water in our indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. We do not put any additives in the water, nor do we re-use or re-heat the water. Here at Ryokan Funamisou you can have a true experience of natural hot spring. There are public hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor for male and female in Ryokan Funamisou. If you prefer some more privacy, indoor private hot spring is also available for couples and families.

**Onsen bath is open from 6:00 to 23:00
