Introduction
"Onsen" is the Japanese word for hot spring or hot spring bath. There are thousands of onsen in Japan. Going to onsen or onsen ryokan (an accommodation facility with onsen spa) is a popular pastime in Japan for couples, friends and families. Using onsen regularly also can improve your skin, health and levitate body aches and pains.
Take a moment to imagine yourself relaxing in the natural hot spring, surrounded by nature, it is the true way to experience Japan.
At Ryokan Kiritani Hakoneso, you will be able to experience a rare kind of natural volcanic hot spring with thick, milky white spring water. Its thickness and color is caused by dissolved volcanic minerals under high temperature and pressure. In Japan this kind of hot spring is called "Nigori-yu". "Nigori-yu" is famous for its effect of improving skin condition, and thus is very popular among females. There are both public and private onsen baths so families and couples can enjoy more privacy.
**All onsen baths are open 24 hours and free of charge for staying guests unless specified otherwise.
